1000 ETI-OSA RESIDENTS BENEFIT FROM SANWO-OLU ’S FREE FOOD PACKAGES.

The residents of Eti-Osa Local Government benefitted from the Sanwo-Olu Food Palliative distributed in the secretariat on Saturday, 6th April 2024, by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole, on the behalf of the Governor of Lagos state, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The free food packages distribution exercise which took place simultaneously in all 57 LGs and LCDAs in Lagos State, came as a directive by the Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aimed at addressing the needs of Lagosians vulnerable to the present economic hardship.

The Governor, who celebrated his daughter’s wedding in a unique way, launched the initiative as a way of extending the wedding largesse to the citizens and especially as an intervention to underscore his commitment to inclusive governance and to meet the needs of the citizens.

Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole, the Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, who was ably represented by his vice, Omooba Adeola Adetoro Adeyanju, commended the outstanding kind gesture of the Governor. He said the distribution of these food packages has a significant impact on the lives of the citizens, providing them with much-needed support during these challenging times. He reiterated that the free food packages would give relief to many families who have been struggling to make ends meet due to the economic challenges. He emphasized that by reaching 1000 residents in all LGs and LCDAs in Lagos, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s initiative has not only addressed the immediate needs of the community but has also shown a dedication to the welfare and well-being of the citizens.

The LG boss who also distributed over 3000 food packages to the good people of Eti-Osa, last week Thursday, 28th March, pledged that the distribution of free food packages continues, and promised that more residents in Eti-Osa Local Government will benefit from this initiative. The food packages given out to 1000 residents contained rice, beans and vegetable oil.
